- 1 cup green moong dal (broken)
- 1/2 cup rice
- 1 onion
- 1 small potato
- 1/2 cup green peas
- 4 tsp ghee for making khichdi
- 2 lavang,
- 1 small cinnamon stick,
- 2 dry red Chilli
- 12 curry leaves
- 1/2 cup chopped coriander
- 1 tsp ginger garlic & green Chilli paste
- 1/2 tbsp haldi powder
- as per taste Salt
Instructions to make to make Moong dal & rice khichdi
- First take both dal & rice combine it in big bowl and wash it for 5 to 6 times till water is completely clean



- Now add little haldi powder & salt to this mixture
Cut onions & potatoes & wash green peas & dip them in clean water, then chop coriander & take curry leaves 🍃

- Now take a small pressure cooker in which you are going to make this khichdi
Add ghee in it & when ghee is hot add cumin seeds then lavang & cinnamon stick, then add dry red Chilli, then curry leaves & green Chilli, ginger garlic paste to it & stir it properly

- Now add cut onions & give it a quick stir & Then add cut potatoes & green peas & stir it properly then add washed dal & rice mixture to it.
Now add little haldi powder & adjust salt as your taste
Then add coriander to it & stir it


- If you have taken one cup of rice & dal mix then add 5 cups of water to it this is the perfect measure of this khichdi (1:5)
Now when water begins to boil close the lid of cooker & allow 3 whistles & Then close the gas flame.

- Now after the pressure of cooker is completely released then open the cooker & stir it properly.



- Now your yummy khichdi is ready to serve
I have serve it with gujrati kadhi,rice flour roasted papdi & onions.


- This is a perfect meal for lunch & it is very easily digestible.
