Ingredients and spices that need to be Prepare to make Mango tart:

  1. for base-
  2. 40 gms Butter, room-temperature
  3. 2 tbsp Powdered Sugar
  4. 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder
  5. 6 pieces Almonds, coarsely ground
  6. 50 gm Wheat flour + All-purpose flour
  7. for topping,
  8. As required Shrikhand (thick curd with some sugar and cardamom)
  9. few Mangoes, diced
  10. as required Pistachio, chopped
  11. Few Mint

Instructions to make to make Mango tart

  1. In a bowl, take butter and sugar; Mix well.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and knead a crack-free dough. Note- For flavouring, You can replace cardamom powder with coffee powder, cinnamon powder, lemon zest, orange zest, vanilla essence.
  3. Roll the dough between two parchment papers to 2-3 mm thickness. Let it set in the refrigerator for an hour.
  4. Then, cut it using a cookie cuter(If not available, use steel glass) into desired shapes.
  5. Transfer tart bases to baking tray/steel plate lightly greased with butter/oil.
  6. To bake in kadhai,
    Place metal ring of about 5 cm height in the kadhai and pre-heat it on a high flame for 10-15 minutes.

    Put steel plate over it and cook at low-medium flame for 20 minutes.

    We get one sided heat (from the bottom) while baking on stove. Hence, Stove baked tart bases will have lighter colour than oven baked.

    To bake in oven, Prick them using a fork and bake at 160 C in a pre-heated oven for 8-12 minutes or until golden brown
  7. Once cooled down, Top them with shrikhand, mango, pistachio some mint leaves.
